Elizabeth Taylor is getting married, Spencer Tracy is the grumpy FATHER OF THE BRIDE end of story.
Vincente Minnelli directs this like a television sitcom. The movie has a few funny scenes and one surrealistic dream sequence that probably was the only part of the movie that interested him.
A 90 minute time killer.
