John Ford is a few years off from entering his best period in film making. Dr. Bull is I believe his first collaboration with Will Rogers.

This is a minor but not uninteresting film made on a relatively small budget during the depression. There are not a lot of visual flourishes in the film but for an early sound film it's pretty easy to watch and it is short.
